The very first time I went to
Poughkeepsie, I couldn’t even
spell it...

Got there and had a blast...
I really loved it!

On my return, I was surprised
by the story of my grandfather
living there... this was my mom’s
dad, Pino Lalo”.
He escaped from home and
chose Poughkeepsie to hide...

There he lived and worked as a
mechanic in the Air Force
for a couple of years,
until my great grandmother
found him through
the Red Cross!"

My adorable grand father in Poughkeepsie.... How I wish we could of had more of him as a grand parent.... he passed away when I was 6yrs old.... from the stories I hear, he was such a loving man!!!!!
