Heather Keller
I first found 'true' scrapbooking when I started staying home with my son, who was then 18 months old. I had always scrapbooked in different forms, but that was the turning point. I then began the paper obsession, the supply hoarding, the magazine collecting, and every step of the way has been great! I now have two kiddos to scrap- Cameron (7/02) and Megan (8/05) and my fabulously supportive husband since 2001, Brent. I have found so many different levels of scrapping through these few years- it can be therapy, it can be slapping it down before I forget it all, and it can be just plain fun, trying out a new product I couldn't wait to get my hands on. It's also fueled my obsession with pictures- I've always been the one with the camera in my hand, but now my camera is even more a fixture of everyday life- not just the occasions, but the glimpses- those little peeks of life we forget about- good, bad, and everything in between! I also love to create and alter- there's nothing better than a fabulous homemade gift!
I'm still not quite sure what my style would be called- I'm always up for trying some new, and diving into new patterned papers makes me weak in the knees. I always trying to journal- even the simple thoughts of a day can be lost in the speed of my kids growing, and I want to be able to look back on every page and just be there when it happened all over again, just by looking at it.
My newest obsession the last couple of years is sewing - I got my sewing machine originally for the sole purpose of stitching on layouts, but it's grown into a whole other hobby now, and I love it. Fabrics I have found are just as fun as patterned paper!
I am so excited to be a part of the KMA design team - KMA was the first scrapbook store I ever ordered from, so it will always have a special 'spot' in my heart. It's so amazing and wonderful to now be lucky enough to be a part of it all!
