Okay, are you ready?
Let's get started with our first challenge!
The theme for this moth is : Media Inspiration
That means that all of our inspiration for this month comes from things the Design Team has found or noticed in all types of media. Magazines, TV, Radio, and Internet. Below you wil see things that inspired us to want to scrapbook, and we hope they will inspire you too
First off is some photo inspiration:

I would love to have a photo like this of my boys playing! The change in perspective is really great! I'm going to try this the next time we go to the park!

My boys sometimes look like this too! Dirty as can be! Next time I'm going to remember to pull out that camera!

This little article is all about how to take unexpected pictures. It inspired me to try doing something unexpexcted and silly with my boys!
Okay, How about a skectch too? This sketch is based on an email sent out by Old Navy. It was an awesome Ad. I tried to get it off their site for you, but it has been removed already

We hope you have fun with the sketches anyhow!
And up next how about some title and accent ideas? These are a few product labels I found around my house recently that I thought might give some good inspiration for adding titles or page embellishments to layouts.

I'm really drawn to the heart in the center of the "O" in "joy" and the orange color block behind "story" in the Toy Story ad.

It is a yummy looking Salad but what I really liked about this ad was the different "M's" at the bottem. What a great way to do a momogram or title.

I don't use butterflies a lot, but these were just really cute perched up on thier straws. I thought a patterned paper butterfly like these might also look great on a layout or card! The scalloped napkins were very pretty too!
Also how about some color ideas?

I loved the brown and blue combo here, I also liked the idea of a very long title and the framing of the decorative lines.

This blue and orange combo is pretty. I also think there are some good scrapbook storage ideas here!
And last how about using the media to help prompt your scrapbooking or journaling ideas? Our design team member Erin pointed out that it was a pregnancy test comercial that sparked her idea to scrapbook about when she found out she was expecting. As for me I heard an announcement on the radio for the beach weather forcast and I was instantly thinking about scrapbooking the wild weather we had on a trip to fly kites on the beach a while back. I keep a small notebook in my purse so I can write down these fleeting thoughts when they occur. That way when I sit down to scrapbook I have ideas instantly at my finger tips!
So.....I guess you are wondering what the challenge is for this month? Well, we are keeping it very simple as we get things going. Just use the inspiration from this blog post to create as many layouts or projects as you can. It can be as simple as a photo you took because of one you saw here, or a color combination, an accent based on one of the lables, or something that came to you while listening to the radio or TV--just like Erin and I. Just be sure to post your layouts in the gallery and then link us to them here in the comments section--and tell us which inspiration it was based on. The member with the most layouts or projects linked back here by the time we post the next challenge (first Monday of October) will be our winner!
Good luck everyone! We can't wait to see what you all do!
And be watching for the design team to start showing their layouts and projects inspired by this blog post very soon!
